When we have an issue in our life The Holy Spirit isn't slow in revealing that to us and the greatest weapon God has given us in this spiritual battle is His Word.

By memorizing scripture we can be battle ready, assured in His great love and unmistakable in our mind to the ultimate truth of the gospel and His will for us and our lives.

The best place to start memorizing scripture is on any issues or themes that are current in your life as this will mean something to you and you can be active in applying and living by His mighty WORD

Before you begin - Pray to God that He reveals to you where to start. Be led by the Holy Spirit!

• Choose

After being led to the right theme or passage. Choose 7 verses and this is where you'll begin your journey into the sacred scriptures!

• Cue Cards

Gather some cards to hand write the word of God and the scripture you wish to start memorizing. This is time to get creative! The memorizing process will be helped if you have different colored cards or pens

• Schedule

Set your start date in your phone, on your calendar. Even if you have commitment issues and thoughts of

'Oh I never stick to anything'

'I'm not ready to start'

'If I do start I probably won’t be able to see it through'

- know that this is natural, in part from the enemy and something this process can abolish also.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT

Remember it is God that starts a process within us and it is Him who will finish it.

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

We need HIS strength in ALL things including this process - Please do not rely on yourself, but fully on God. He wants this relationship with us, this not only builds up our faith and trust but helps us hear His direction and leading.
